Oasis Protocol Foundation Launches ROFL Mainnet for Privacy-Preserving AI Applications
The Oasis Protocol Foundation has officially launched its Runtime Offchain Logic (ROFL) mainnet, a framework designed to enable verifiable off-chain computations for AI and blockchain applications. Positioned as a "Trustless AWS," ROFL leverages Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs) to allow developers to build privacy-preserving consumer and finance applications without sacrificing decentralization.
ROFL addresses a critical gap in Web3 by enabling resource-intensive workloads, such as AI model training and data analysis, to be executed off-chain within secure enclaves. Results are cryptographically verified and connected back to on-chain smart contracts, unlocking new use cases across the AI and blockchain landscape.
"Consumers will continue to value convenience and ease of use over anything," said Jernej Kos, co-founder of Oasis Protocol Foundation. "ROFL provides plug-and-play infrastructure for developers to build applications with privacy and transparency already embedded."
